Headquartered in suburban Washington, DC, BTI has a special interest in our local community. With nearly 15% of the population of the National Capital Region living below the poverty line, we have developed and fostered long-standing relationships with charities providing goods and services to the local community. Annual coat/clothing drives, backpack and school supply drives, preparing and distributing holiday meals to the homeless are just a sampling of our corporate efforts to support the disadvantaged population where we live and work.
BTI employees share in our commitment to give, inspire, and serve our local communities. A Community Impact Team has been chartered to determine how to best give back, whether it’s through monetary donations, time, or a combination of both, to the communities in which we do business. We regularly solicit feedback from our employees in each location to capture their voices to best represent the philanthropic efforts of our company, capitalizing on our original vision of 1Source, 1Voice, 1Community.
BTI also recognizes the efforts of individual employees supporting charities on their personal time outside of their employment with the company. To that end, BTI provides charitable donations of $500 or more to sponsor our employee efforts in support of awareness activities regardless of location. We have supported Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Autism Speaks Walks, Out of the Darkness Overnight Suicide Prevention Walks, and many other widely recognized organizations upon the request of our employees.
BTI, Building. Transforming. Inspiring.
